A Project of Partners
Resource Network

We can help.

Meeting the Unique Needs of Parents of
Children and Youth with Disabilities

Our Mission______________________

The mission of Partners
resource Network, Inc. is to empower
parents of children with disabilities to
be effective advocates for their children
and to promote positive parent/professional
partnerships.

Our Belief_______________________

  • Parents are the experts on their
    children.
  • Parents who have been there are
  • often the best sources of
    information and support for
  • other parents.
  • Parent and professionals who
    can build partnerships achieve
    the best outcomes for children.

Our Organization________________

TEAM is one of three projects
of Partners Resource Network, Inc., a
statewide network of parent training
and information centers in Texas.

TEAM Project began in October
2003 with a grant from the U.S. Department
of Education to Partners Resource Network
(PRN), Inc., a nonprofit agency that has
served parents of children with disabilities
(ages 0-26) throughout Texas since 1986.

Partners Resource Network
established TEAM Project in an effort
to better serve and fulfill its mission
throughout southern Texas, including
Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi,
Victoria, and the Valley.

Most of our staff members are
parents who know first hand the challenges
of parenting a child with a disability. Their
hope is to give other parents the resources,
knowledge, skills, and support they need.
